Restriction on New Investment into L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income

Friends Provident International Limited (“Friends Provident International”) has received notification from Value Partners Hong Kong Limited (“The Company”) of the decision to temporarily soft close the underlying und of L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income to subscriptions from new investors. This has come into effect from 24 June 2019 (the “Effective Date”).

As a result, with effect from 25 June 2019, Friends Provident International will no longer accept new investment (for switch-in and single premium increase) into L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income.

If a new switch-in request for additional single premium into L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income is submitted from 25 June 2019, we will contact you or your independent financial adviser for an alternative instruction.

If you are paying regular premiums into L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income, you can keep or reduce your existing regular premium; however you cannot increase the allocation.

If you wish to remain invested in L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income you do not need to take any action. Should you wish to switch your existing investment out of L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income, to other Friends Provident International fund(s) available under your policy, you are free to do so at any time without charge. Please note however, you will not be permitted to switch back into L51 Value Partners Greater China High Yield Income until further notice.
